Getting to the slopes
Near the village is a gondola connecting to the suberb ski area of Meribel and Les Trois Vallees. The gondola is about 900 meter from the chalet and has free parking next to it. For those that go there by foot, there is the option to rent lockers at Chaudanne
Alternatively one can take the free bus to Meribel Chaudanne in the village centre. The bus stop is about 700 meter from the chalet.
For those that prefer to drive to Meribel, the best option is to park at Meribel les Villages. This is only a 10 min drive and the parking is free.
To come back to the village one can take a red run that goes straight from Meribel to Les Allues. Providing the snow conditions allow.
Getting to the chalet
By car: Follow the motorway to 'Chambery'. Then head towards A43
direction 'Albertville'. Then continue on the A430 to 'Albertville'. From there
take N90 to 'Moutiers'. In 'Moutiers' follow the direction 'Meribel'. You will pass
the village of 'Les Allues' on your right hand side after about 11km. Take direction
'Les Villards'. The chalet will be on the right about 700 meter out of the village.
(you will have to pass through the small streets of Les Allues)
By train: There is an international trainstation in 'Moutiers'
where you can take a bus to 'Meribel'. The bus will also stop in 'Les Allues'.
From the bus stop its a walk to the chalet. Follow direction 'Les
Villards'. The chalet will be on the right hand side after about 700 meter.
By plane: 'Chambery' is the closest airport. 'Lyon' and 'Geneva'
are both about 170 km from 'Les Allues'. Check the 'Meribel unplugged' site for
taxis and trains from the airport.
Village
Les Allues is an old, cosy village in the heart of the Méribel valley. It has several
excellent restaurants, a bar with live music and a small supermarket.
If one needs however a large store or supermarket, then one needs to decent direction of Moutiers (Super-U), or ascen
in the direction of Meribel (Spar).
There is also a ski rental,cash machine and post office in the village.
